5th Annual Brady Scoggins Memorial Golf Tournament

Join this wonderful golf committee in celebrating the 5th Annual Brady Scoggins Memorial Golf Tournament.

In Memoriam:
This tournament is put on in memory of Brady Scoggins, a young man close to our hearts who succumbed to the complications of CFC Syndrome at the young age of 5 years old, on April 10, 2005. Brady lived in Sherwood Park with his parents Murray and Kelly and his sister Bailee. Brady was an avid sports fan like much of his family, and had friendships with some of our guest celebrities who will be attending the tournament. One of Brady’s favorites is Jeff Woywitka of the St. Louis Blues. Jeff is originally from Vermillion, Alberta; the same area that Murray and his family are from. Brady watched Jeff coming up through the Junior ranks, when he lived and Jeff played in Red Deer, with the Rebels. While Jeff was with the Oilers organization, Brady loved to watch Jeff play and was able to go into the dressing room and meet other players. Because of the special relationship with Jeff and his family, Jeff is our special tournament spokesman and, along with a few of his hockey pals and other special guests, are planning to attend in memory of Brady. This is now our fifth year running this tournament and we plan to make this an annual event to celebrate Brady’s life for years to come.

All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to Make-A-Wish® Northern Alberta. We have chosen this incredible charity in memory of Brady, to help enrich the lives of other children with life threatening illnesses and their families at a time of extreme challenges. Through the Make-A-Wish® wish granting process, we are helping dreams come true – by giving these children the opportunity to experience life’s great adventures as chosen by them. Creating memories that will last a lifetime, which they may not otherwise be able to enjoy.

The tournament will be held at The Derrick Golf and Winter Club on Monday, June 28th, 2010.
