Kris’s wish was to meet Lightning McQueen! So we all got to spend a week in Orlando, Florida. We did and seen so much that I am scared I am going to leave something important out… but here it goes.

When we arrived at the Give Kids the World resort we were all in awe, it was more amazing than any picture or virtual tour could even come close to. The kids didn’t know what to do first, or which way to turn… there is so much to see and do there. Playgrounds, Mini Golf, Swimming, Castle’s, Merry-go-rounds, Ice Cream shop, Spa’s…. literally endless!  So we did a little of everything and also ventured out to do some shopping!

Saturday was Kris’s wish day, so off to Disney world we went! We all went to the Magic Kingdom… when I realized that Lightning McQueen was at Hollywood Studios…. So we went to see and meet “The” Lightning McQueen… You couldn’t wipe the ear to ear smile off Kris’s face.. he couldn’t believe that he was actually standing beside him… he touched, and looked, and touched some more. We took some pictures, and then off we went back to Magic Kingdom. When we found Splash Mountain I was unsure of taking the kids on it at first, thinking that it might scare them… little did I know that it would be Kris’s favorite ride! Once he started he wouldn’t stop… he loved sitting in the front row! He would go over, and over, and over again. He even brought his swimming goggles the 2^nd day so the water wouldn’t get in his eyes.  Finally we convinced Kris that we should go on some other rides, and that we could always come back to that one. So more roller coasters it was for him… and he even went on one that I wouldn’t go on! And loved it!

Disney has the most amazing fireworks show at night! It lit up the castle, and there was a script that went along with it… very cool!! Kris’s favorite thing at Sea world was when we got to go into a little section and they give you a tray of fish to feed the dolphins… He loved to touch and pet the dolphins. Kris’s got a glass star from GKTW he got to put his name on it, and then it was placed on the ceiling of the Castle of Miracles, and it will be there forever! They never take them down.

This trip was amazing! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you doesn’t even seem to come close to the gratitude we all have! We had an amazing time, and a lot of great memories! And thank you again to the Make-A-Wish Foundation for making it all possible! Thank you to West Jet!! Your staff was amazingly helpful from beginning to end!! This was absolutely the break from reality that everyone needed, and to see Kris just being a kid not having to worry about blood test, medicines or Doctor’s visits.

Thank you again so very much! This trip was more than a wish or a dream come true for our family! Erica you are amazing!
