"I WISH TO GO...TO DISNEY WORLD!"

This wish story is to thank you for giving Kyle his wish, and also to remind you all, what a gift you give and how you not only touch the "wish" child's life, but the family as well.

Kyle is 6 years old and was born with severe heart defects.He has spent most of his young life in and out of the hospital and now, as a family we simply live for today!  Kyle getting his wish granted was a way to bring a moment in his life where all he could experience was Joy!

Kyle's wish started with thoughts of planes, cars, Disney characters and having fun! With the help of Make-A-Wish we all agreed that a stay at DisneyWorld and Give Kids The Worls was the plan. Kyle spent weeks so excited before hand, and his eyes lit up when he saw the special blue envelope arrive in the mail. As the days drew closer, the first thing out of Kyle's mouth was "5 more sleeps!", and it would continue like that every morning until we left.

On December 4th we left for the Edmonton airport and we can not say enough about how well WestJet treated us! From the moment we got on the plane, with the announcement of Kyle onboard, to all the help ready for us at each airport. Kyle got special treatment on one of the flights, where he got to spend time with the co-pilot in the cockpit. Kyle was on cloud nine!

We arrived in Orlando and stayed at Give Kids The World - we have never seen such wonderful hospitality.It was nice to be in a place where all the children share a common bond. From the yummy food, activity nights, things to do there and the ice cream...we had so much fun!

We spent time in the parks at Disney World too, and Kyle never looked happier!! I wish you could all see the look on his face and hear his favorite saying after each ride - "That was f..u....nnnnnnnn!". Kyle met Mickey, Minnie, The Incredibles, Bolt, Toy Story Soldiers, and more! He also loved spending the day at Sea World, where he got to pet the penguins! The fun continued daily, with the combination of Disney activities, to coming back at night to Give Kids The World.

We shared many laughs and memories that will live on! Thank you so much for making our son's dream come true and letting him experience a happiness that he can hold onto.

Thank you for making us forget the worries and enjoy the little wonders. You are all truly wonderful for what you do
