I WISH TO GO...TO IRELAND!
I would like to start by saying thank you for being able to make my wish come true. The very essence that you put into making this trip is that of wonders. Never in my mind did I see such an endeavor being laid out within such a short time frame. Just being able to go to Ireland is amazing, but for you to be able to have it surround my birthday, now that was magic. The airplane ride was surrounded by anticipation. Both Sam and I did not sleep the whole way there. My reason was that I could not wait for what was to come. Sam I believe was more of a fear of flying, as it was his first time on a plane since a child. Upon arrival we were openly greeted by our driver who escorted us to our hotel. The first couple days we were slow moving due to jet lag and had to acquaint ourselves with the city. As time passed the real excitement began, as we ventured forth into the key points of Southern Ireland. The festivity of the Irish was well noted as we passed through the small towns, they almost seemed blind to the thought of negativity.
The greatest time I had in Ireland was my 18th birthday! The day began with greetings as we met our Irish friends who I have not seen since they came to Canada a few years back. From there we went to do clay pigeon shooting, at a nearby gun range. Being that it was my first time shooting I found it to be an exhilarating challenge and hope to continue it as an ambition here at home. There I can officially say I experienced my first and not my last Guinness. That night the fun continued and for the next couple days, I found that we saw more and more that showed a side of Ireland I’ve always loved and always will.
I hope that you are able to visualize what an experience myself; Sam and my Mom were able to obtain. Once again, I thank you for this opportunity and all of your efforts in making my dream truly come true.
